Parents, Do Not Provoke, but Bring Them Up

Here encounter two commands to parents. But we must always remember that there is a grand assumption in this section of Ephesians – It is referring the work of the Holy Spirit in a Christian family. The discussion of the operation of the Holy Spirit begins in Eph 5;18, and it refers to how the work of the Holy Spirit works in the church, and in the home. The Holy Spirit is the most important matter in our relationships with our brothers and sisters, as wives as husbands, and as parents and children. The Ministry of the holy Spirit is not a cold doctrine, for it has feet and legs and a mouth coming from the heart in everyday life.
