To God Be the Glory

1,436 ( 1,342 | 94 )

We always ask the wrong question. “What can Christianity do for me which nothing else can do?” No, we are here for God’s glory and his glory alone, and he accomplishes it all. Jesus, facing the cross, thought about God’s glory and about the joy of bringing many into glory with him. Seven amazing thoughts about this great salvation.THE PLAN WAS SET AND ROLES DETERMINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD for this plan of salvation conceived before the universe or even angels were created.THE FATHER WAS THE PLANNER. He wrote the script and set the timing down to the nanosecond. JESUS WAS GIVEN AUTHORITY OVER ALL FLSH, meaning that Old Testament appearances of “God” always means “God the Son.” gift’ to his Son, who will raise us up at the last day. THE FATHER IS NO OGRE. Christ entered into a ‘covenant of works’ relationship with the Father on our behalf. He reports to the Father that he has accomplished that task. THE FATHER HAS CLEARED A PATH FOR ME as a believer to hear the gospel and receive eternal life, which the Father has put into the hands of the Son to give to his people. THE FATHER GAVE THE SON AUTHORITY TO ADOPT US INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD. Therein lies our security for no one can pluck one of his children out of his hand. Reflect on these and our problems shrink, our hearts are comforted and our fears are banished.
