Life in Latter Times

Ancient maps often contained three chilling words: “Here be dragons!” Medieval mapmakers described the outer boundaries of their world with these words, warning travelers of uncharted, perilous territory. Christians today live in perilous times. When we stray from the boundaries of God’s truth revealed in Scripture, we risk shipwreck in a sea of demonic messages. Does this all seem too sensational? Paul’s warning to Timothy: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits . . .” (1 Timothy 4:1, NKJV). Ours is an age of apostasy. Evidences are all around us. Only by ordering our thoughts and lives by God’s truth can we stay on course.
