Aaron's Shame

As Moses deals with the sin of Israel, he turns first to Aaron. Aaron was in charge during Moses' absence, and so Moses holds him responsible for what has transpired. Then Moses takes a stand for the Lord, and is joined by the sons of Levi. All of this happened as examples for us, to keep us from setting our hearts on iniquity.
