Baptism, the Lord's Supper, and the Purity of the Local Church

The distinctive contribution of our Baptist forefathers to church history has always been their ecclesiology, their belief that the local church is to be composed of a regenerate church membership. Our goal is for the Lord to close the gap that exists between the invisible and the visible church. Our view of exclusive believer's baptism has everything to do with this, as baptism is a gateway of admission into church membership. Both baptism and the Lord's Supper are inseparably connected to the authority Christ has given to the church. In this sermon we explore these connections and what they mean to practical Christian living and church membership.
