The Spirit of Love, Power & Sound MInd

Telos: To encourage the Congregation to love one another and to bless one another by exercising the spiritual gift that God has given us.

In the portion which we have chosen to be our text, Paul would do two things.

First, he encourages Timothy by telling him of his affection and longing for him (v. 3-5).

Secondly, he reminds Timothy to stir up the gift of God that he has received (v. 6-7). So these two paragraphs may be entitled:

(1) The Encouragement and
(2) The Reminder.
