Sermon Title: Are you GOd's Kind of Person

Ephesians 5:14-17

Thesis: We see in this section that we are to be separated from the evil by living worthy of the calling we have in Christ

1. Return to the Light v14 - believers wake up from your sleepy state. A warning to not participate in the deeds of darkness. We
   should not rejoice in iniquity in anyway.
   Isaiah 60:1, Romans 13:11, 1 Thes 5:6.
   Christian be alert and sober not being lulled to sleep by the world. Don't get caught in the trap exposed in Ephes 5:5-7

2. Resist living Unwisely V15 - ...not as unwise men but as wise. Take Heed, be watchful, pay attention. Don't sleep walk
   down the christian. Be prepare, plan. The unwise person is ill-prepared. Matthew 7:24 - A wise man maps out his course - God is in control. Believing fully. The unwise steps that we take cause us great heartache. They are painful and diminish our service before the Lord.
   Luke 24:25, 2 Peter 1:3, Romans 16:19
   To the extend that we do not accept any part of God's word, to that extent we are foolish

3. Manage our time/season Responsibly V16 - No time management but how you use the opportunities you have in life. Redeem your
   time. Buying back our opportunity and seasons so there is nothing left on the shelf and use it all for the glory of God. Make the things that matter to God, the things that matter the MOST to you.
   Col 3:1-3, Matt 6:33

Conclusion - V17 - God has a plan for your life - Rom 12:1-2, Proverbs 11:14 & 15:22 - seek Him and His Wisdom
