Real Reason Why Judas Hung Himself & Curious Case Of Saints Rising From Their Graves

139

If you spend any amount of time at all reading the your King James Bible as one who believes what they are reading, they you know very well how much God likes to use types and figures to illustrate biblical truths. When Jesus picked His 12, 11 of them were the 'real deal', and one of them was a devil, functioning as a type of Antichrist amongst the brethren. After the resurrection of Jesus, Matthew tells us that the bodies of "many of the saints arose" from the their graves, another amazing type as well.

"And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many." Matthew 27:51-53 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are looking at the events surrounding the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it is thick with types, figures and the fulfillment of bible prophecy. Over the course of those 72-plus hours some amazing things took place, they shed light on what happened then, and what we can reasonably expect to have happen in the future from the Pretribulation Rapture all the way up to the Second Coming. The First Resurrection happens in three stages: first fruits, harvest and gleanings, and when those graves were opened, God is giving us a delicious sample of how great the fruit will taste at harvest time.
