The Man For our Faith

If Pilate had been a gospel preacher he could not have chosen better words for His text. If he had called people to look unto Jesus as a Saviour he would have been a man owned of God. But alas we know Pilate was no preacher but a prevaricator, a compromiser and a coward who lost his soul.
I want to be the preacher of these words to you today. I want to call you to “Behold the Man Christ Jesus as the object of your faith.
Last week we look at the Lord as our Priest in his work as Redeemer. That his death had a purpose and it was the work of a sacrifice to pay the price of our sins.
So Christ is the focus of our faith. He is the central and only figure to whom we are to look for our salvation.
