01 - An Important Clarification

The word ‘sanctification’ will appear repeatedly throughout this book. Let me say how I am using it. And there is need!
I fully accept that the elect, immediately they are brought into Christ by faith, are fully, absolutely, perfectly, utterly, completely, irreversibly and permanently sanctified (have I stopped every loophole?) by the application of Christ’s work to them by the Holy Spirit (see, for instance, 1 Cor. 1:2,30; 6:11; 2 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 2:11; 10:10,14, 29; 13:12; 1 Pet. 1:2; Jude 1). In this book, however, I am not talking about that. I do not question it in the least, but that sanctification is not the issue which concerns me here.
