Jesus as Our Sacrifice

Jesus carried out a necessary part of the plan of salvation when he offered himself as our sacrifice. Animal sacrifices had been pointing to his death on the cross for centuries. The Lamb of God took our sins upon himself and faced the wrath of the Father so that we could be released from the penalty of our sins through his cleansing blood.
