Unfolding the details

In Lord's Day 15 of the Heidelberg Catechism, Question 37 invites reflection on the extent and nature of Christ's sufferings; Question 38 highlights the significance of Pilate's official capacity; and Question 39 draws out the implications of crucifixion by raising the hypothetical of Christ dying in a different way. The Catechism should produce thoughtful Christians.
