How Can God Be So Good?

The Israelites had broken the first edition of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 32:19). But since God is still willing to pick up the pieces of that broken relationship and renew his covenant with his people, He asks Moses to make a fresh set of tablets. By restoring the Israelites to the new covenant, the Lord demonstrating that even a broken covenant can be renewed. This is encouraging news for us and for those who are lost. The Lord who restores His people is the God whom we need.
