New Study: Latchkey Kids Do Better?
A highly touted longitudinal study has just been released which seems to indicate that kids don’t need their parents’ quantity time. In fact, quantity time between parents and kids can be counterproductive, according to this study. Of course, this comes as a huge relief to a society where 75-95% of kids will be shuffled away to daycare, preschool, and so on. The only problem with this study: they looked at the wrong outcomes and forgot four little words—“In the long run.” How many parents will be deceived by these new studies? We compare this University of Toronto study with the Gen 2 Survey.
