Motivations to Stand

Standing beside you is a person who doesn't deserve what he has received. But then, nor do you. Yet as the two of you stand before the glorious risen Christ, He has just announced that He is about to reward you personally for the role you played on earth in the salvation of the person standing next to you! How wonderful it will be, on that day, to be so grateful that you gave yourself to spiritual disciplines and became useful to Christ in His church. This is one of the many motivations to spiritual discipline.
