The prophets of Old spoke of a coming Prophet that would be like (similar to) Moses. Whereas Moses had heard from God face to face, this Prophet would have eternally existed face to face with the Father. This Prophet is the Word of John's gospel. This Prophet embodies all that God had said and would ever say. We must listen to this Prophet.
