April 15th - The Tyranny of Tax Day

It has been said that there are only two sure things in life: Death and Taxes . . . and April 15th is right around the corner. This week, American taxpayers will once again fork over hundreds of billions of dollars to the Federal Government. When you combine income tax, Medicare Tax, sales tax, and the host of other US taxes, Americans pay on average 46% of their income to the government! Back in the 1700's, Ben Franklin quipped that any government which charged more than a 10% tax was tyranny.
