Jesus promised parting gifts to His disciples (2)

Today we continue to address John 14:25-31, in which we will consider two difficult themes contained in these verses. The first is Jesus' statement, "My Father is greater than I" (John 14:28). The second addresses the nature of the devil's kingdom in light of the coming of the kingdom of God. Jesus had said to His disciples, "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me" (14: 30).
