New Covenant Sacrifices

This section of the exhortations inform us as to how we can serve Christ at the New Covenant altar (v. 10) outside the "gate" (v. 13) or Judaism. We have a city, the New Jerusalem (12:22-24) that is to come. In the meantime, we are to offer to Him continual sacrifices of praise (v. 15). We see three obligations of worship to God: (1) a spiritual obligation of praise (v. 15); (2) a social obligation of good (v. 16); and (3) an ecclesiastical obligation of respect and trust for God-called leaders (v. 17).
