Satan is so clever at deception that he can even use our love for someone as a tool to oppose God and his work. Most people trust in their feelings (heart) and this is exactly the way the devil can accomplish this terrible thing. Jesus addressed Peter as "Satan" in response to Peter's determination to save Jesus from the suffering of the cross.
