The Manner of Women

Walking, as it's said, where angels fear to tread, for our second-hour service, Pastor Simpson dealt with the manner of women in quite gently and graciously. Men and women of today have become overwhelmingly concerned about their appearance; however, the social peer pressure to confirm to worldly lust and desires seems to have a greater pressure upon women. The desire to be physically attractive is not wrong nor is it a bad thing, but for the women to dress in a fashion to bring attention to themselves can be a tremendous distraction for those in the congregation. While women of the day fiercely despise a man telling them how to dress or how to appear in public, Pastor Simpson, in proper exegete of the Scriptures, taught what the Word of God teaches on the matter. This message is quite fitting for any father, husband, mother, wife, or daughter. May God be honored in our life and apparel in a form of respect and reverence.
