A Horrible Thing

Even people who do bad things should not be treated badly. The Levite in this story was d in that he did not defend his wife. He was a coward just as Lot with his daughters, Abraham with his wife, Isaac with his wife, and others. Men are to put their lives on the line to protect their wives and daughters. Jesus died on the cross because we cannot just talk people into doing good. Apart from God’s grace, we will resort to sin and violence. Being born again is the only way that people can be saved. Without having a new heart and being born again, people will want what they want and try to get God to do what they want to do. The human heart is deceitfully wicked above all else. God giving us a new heart is the only solution for us to be saved. We cannot fix ourselves, we need a Savior, and we need to know that we need a Savior.
