Knowing the Times

The church lives among nation states that may either promote or forbid her activities. How then do we live? Ezra shows us the way by describing the infiltrators and lobby groups who discourage Israel, and then, the ministry of prophets who show where the real problem is. The returnees are more concerned with securing their homes than in knowing the God who has renewed their life. But God stirs them again. They are humbled, their opponents now fail to discourage them, the temple gets built and the joy of worship is heard. May God do it among us again!
