Living for God's Glory

That’s it isn’t it…actually, no, that is not the point of the verses we have before us. Despite all the detail of the emergence and victory of God’s man, David, the true heart of the passage is that God’s glory was at stake. Goliath’s words and actions had dishonoured the God of Israel. This is a matter of the glory of God. Are you a person who is concerned for God’s glory? Is that you chief purpose to glorify Him? It was David’s purpose!'
