A Gospel-Built Congregation

At the end of this second section of thanksgiving, Paul, Silas, and Timothy write to further encourage those who have trusted in Jesus for their rescue and deliverance from God's perfectly just anger. The basis of this section of encouragement is the rule and reign of Christ who gives gifts to His local congregations to work among them for their stability in the faith as they continue to confess before God, angels, and men: Jesus is Lord.
