Responding to Grace

The letter of Paul, Silas, and Timothy, takes on a bright and exuberant tone. They are full of rejoicing over God's mercy and faithfulness to the congregation of believers there in Thessalonica. Having reached the limit of their endurance regarding the Thessalonians' state under persecution, they now strain the limit of their expression of thanksgiving to God at His mercy in sustaining them. This sermon calls us to rejoice together at God's merciful love toward those who only deserve His anger and yet have found grace in Jesus Christ.
