The Obligation of Love and Honoring Marriage

The writer was jealous for his readers, that they should persevere in their faith and faithfulness. And central to this faithfulness is the abiding obligation of love. God is love, and those whose lives are hidden with Christ in God must live in love. This is a universal obligation, but it has a primary concern in the marital relationship. And not just for its own sake, but because of what it represents.
