95) Self Love: Good or Bad?

The royal law is that you must love your neighbor as you love yourself. But what if you hate yourself? We all know what it's like to be disgusted with ourselves. So if that's the case, what does that do to the command, "Love your neighbor as yourself?" Do I have to get over my self-loathing before I can obey that command? Or is my self-loathing actually a function of my self-love?
