Evangelism—God's Way

Exegesis: Our passion for evangelism comes from caring for the lost. This requires our hearts to break (vv. 1-2) and to sacrifice (vv. 3-5). Our confidence in evangelism comes from believing in the gospel's power. The Word is powerful (vv. 6-7) and miraculous (vv. 8-9) in the elect. Our comfort in evangelism comes from resting in God's sovereignty. We are assured of Christ's victory (vv. 11-12) and amazed at Christ's grace (v. 13).
