Providence, a Mystery

In every area of our lives, God's providence is manifested to us, by His divine will, and for our benefit. Nothing happens to us without the ordination of God. This is so well illustrated in the life of Joseph. Our dear brother had a dream--he would rule over his brothers. He did not know that he would have to be sold into slavery by his brothers, be falsely accused, and be thrown in jail before he made it to a place of prominence in the palace, and all in the providence of God. God's attributes all work together--His wisdom guides our lives, His knowledge directs His providence, His power fulfills His will, His faithfulness assures the complete fulfillment of His providence. How many days have we had that started just like every other day, and ended like no other day? Even in these "dark providences," God is in control. We must be prepared to accept and embrace the will of God for our lives, trusting ourselves to our faithful Creator and Lord.
