God's Tests & God's Outcomes

Sermon Point: Learn from the Old Testament Church and persevere in your testing.

Outline:

1. Paul sets the church in the wilderness before you and me (Verses 1-4).
2. The church in the wilderness went through extensive testing (Deuteronomy 8:1-3).
3. Israel's testing revealed her heart and the same goes for you (Verses 5 and 12, and Deuteronomy 8:1-3).
4. That church in the wilderness is an example for us in the church today (Verses 6 and 11).
5. Don't follow the example of the church in the wilderness and see similar results (Verses 7-10).
6. Your testing is not unique but limited, endurable, and has a better outcome (Verse 13).
