How to Handle Religious Disputes

After a 3 minute review, the new lesson begins with a 15 minute discussion on 'How to Handle Religious Disputes'.

  1. Don't get mad
  2. Look at the issues seriously
  3. Have enough humility to realize we might not be right
  4. Be mature

It is also important to remember to not give up previously held beliefs without proving the new point to be true. "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways."

The rest of the discussion regards the importance of:

  1. Using the means of grace
  2. Realizing some folks are 'Little-Faith' by the sovereignty of God.
  3. That the church needs to have those 'Little-Faiths' among them for their sake (they need encouragment) and for our sake (we need to show them love and minister to them).

This sermon ends the discussion on Little-Faith, which is the longest individual section in Pilgrim's Progress and deals with the doctrine of the Perseverance of the Saints.
