Jesus' Political Trials

Herod Antipas' treatment of Jesus was horrendous. How could he do such a thing? We could, of course ask the same question about Judas, Pontius Pilate and the religious leaders. One simple but profound answer is that they ignored their conscience and deliberately rejected the truth about Jesus that was clearly evident before their very eyes. As Christians we must never violate our biblically informed conscience. Every decision we make has consequences. Every time you make a choice, C. S. Lewis reminds us, you are turning the central part of you….into a heavenly creature or a hellish creature.
