Releasing Your Children

This fifth message regarding children gives us a good example of both raising them correctly, as well as releasing them totally. God used a TEST to examine Abraham's faith - He gave him three commands that would end in Isaac becoming a burnt offering. Abraham fully cooperated with God, demonstrating his solid convictions that God would provide a sacrificial lamb. His TRUST was evident when he raised the knife to sacrifice his son, simply because God had told him to. But the LORD, at the last minute, provided a substitute, a ram caught in a thicket, thus proving that "The LORD Will Provide." Abraham's TRIUMPH brought another promise from the LORD. Because Abraham succeeded in obeying God, the LORD was going to greatly bless and multiply him, his seed, and through his seed all the nations. Abraham had released his son to the LORD, and the LORD richly rewarded him. Abraham safely settled in Beersheba.
