The Blood of Christ

Why should Christians emphasize the blood of Christ? There are three reasons why we should emphasize the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. The Lord's blood signifies cleansing

• the conscience needs to be clean
• the blood provides cleansing for the conscience (Heb 9:11-14)

2. The Lord's blood signifies consecration

• consecration is dedicating someone or something for God's use (Exodus 29:19-21)
• we are not our own but the Lord's purchased possession (1 Cor 6:20, Rom 12:1-2)

3. The Lord's blood signifies communion

• 1 John 1:6-7
