A Fool's Death or a Righteous Life?

296

A message that needs to resound in our materialistic Western society that esteems those whom God calls fools.

To trust in anything but the living God is the epitome of folly, which the Psalmist elucidates over & over.

Herein we look at:

  1. His Audience
  2. His Aim
  3. His Assertion to the Wise & Foolish

This Psalm is to be an encouragement to those who feel they have little riches in the here & now. True riches are found in Jesus Christ; this is a very Messianic Psalm that anticipates what true life consists of, and the hope of the glorious resurrection to come for God's elect people.

We spend much time w/ the "so what?" aspect of the message, making the age-old Psalm relevant to the common pew listener who deals w/ lovers of money everyday at work or home.

Leads into the Lord's Table.
