Lessons From Meribah

Why did Moses call the congregation 'rebels' at Meribah? Why did Moses smote the Rock twice and why was it a violation of a type of the LORD Jesus Christ? Is the LORD's blessing in response to how we conduct ourselves or is it only for Jesus sake? What is the significance of the name Meribah? Why did the Spirit cause Moses to write it down?
