Nevertheless at thy word

26

How much faith do you have? We all start with no true faith (faith in God) but when the time for salvation comes the Lord provided the faith to be saved. But He doesn't stop there He gives us more faith. Every time we hear the word of God our faith grows. Here in our text Simon Peter heard the word of the Lord and he acted on it. Satan wants us to doubt just as he had Simon Peter doubting but the difference being that Peter acted on the word and the faith it provided. Satan loves to make us doubt, he wants us to freeze up and back away; while God wants us to stand strong and move forward. We must keep moving forward in our spiritual lives just as Peter here did. Sometimes we see enormous results, the little bit he did was turned into a catch that nearly sank two boats! So often though we get frustrated at the little to seemingly no results but God isn't asking us to get results just to follow His word faithfully. Pain comes, fear tries to trap us, and doubt will try to steal your faith. But trust God and bring into your life the acceptance of ‘nevertheless at thy word' belief so we can move forward through it all in faith and leave the rest to God.
