God's Revealed Secret

'The mystery' being God's eternal plan of salvation unknowable unless revealed by him, includes God's eternal purpose of salvation by Christ and the effectual calling of Jews and Gentiles in Christ.

1. The mystery preached by the apostle Paul v25.
   The full and indiscriminate preaching of this gospel mystery unto all men.

2. The mystery is made manifest to the saints v26.
   The outward call is indiscriminate but the inward is particular and confined to the elect of God.

3. The saints are being called from among the Gentiles v27.
   Calling of the Gentiles both the outworking of the mystery and part of it - The riches of Christ should always be marvellous to us.

4. The saints are indwelt by Christ v27b.
   Christ reigns in his people by the Spirit which is the beginning and earnest of eternal glory.
