You Must Be Born Again...and Believe!

Jesus contradicts the man-centered religion of his day--and ours--by teaching that the sinner must be born again by sovereign grace, the Son must be lifted up as an expiation and propitiation for sin, and the sinner from his new heart must repent and believe in the Son for justification. And John the Baptist pictures the sanctification to follow in his declaration that He must increase the he might decrease.
