Rentance of "Works" and Sin

17 ( 16 | 1 )

The person who has repented of the "dead works" of Moralism and Ritualism has abandoned all trust in their own personal righteous acts for salvation. Such a repentant person understands that he has been deceived along with thousands of others. Such repentance should result in loathing the false teaching that deceives. Such repentance should result in the willingness to confront those teaching the deception just as does the Apostle Paul in both the Epistle to the Hebrews and the Epistle to the Galatians. The person who has repented of the "dead works" of Moralism and Ritualism has abandoned all trust in any religious ritual or sacrament to aid them in their salvation or as the means of being regenerated. Repentance understands that these types of beliefs do not bring a person closer to salvation. Instead these types of beliefs just make it all the more difficult for someone to get saved by grace through faith. Therefore, genuine repentance would not allow a repentant person to remain in local churches teaching such deception that hinders people from trusting solely in the finished work of Christ.
