Ezra's Journey to Jerusalem

Ezra begins his long journey back to the Holy City. He has gathered some 1500 men and their families for their return. Sadly, even though the king has granted permission for the people to join with Ezra and return to the homeland, the majority of them are content to dwell in Babylon. Ezra soon learns that there were no Levites among the number. Sad indeed, that so many of God's people are content to be far from the house of worship and the dwelling place of God.
