10. Made Nigh by the Blood of Christ

We are, first, Made Nigh, Though in the Flesh; second, Made Nigh, Though Without Christ; and third, Made Nigh, Though Afar Off. How precious ought the blood of Christ be to us who believe. The blasphemous position that some take to say the blood of Christ is no better than any other kind of blood, or is only symbolic, is tragic in our day. But, even more so, those who say they don't believe such heresy will just agree to disagree and move on with full fellowship as if it was some kind of "non-essential". God deliver us from such. I suppose if the blood of Christ is symbolic, so is Christ, or so is our sin, just symbolic. Such spiritualizing wreaks of gnosticism of the early church. May we rejoice in the blood of Christ, willingly and lovingly offered, for the sake of His elect.
