Abraham's greatest trial was the offering of his only son, Isaac. His persuasion that God was leading him to make this monumental sacrifice pushed him forward. He spoke softly and reassuringly to Isaac. At the last moment, God provided a substitute. What they did in part, the Father and the Son did in completeness.
