Despised and Rejected of Men

Here we witness the beginning of the fulfillment of Simeon's prophecy concerning Christ "Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against" (Luke 2:34). The promised Prophet "like Moses" (Deut. 18:15f) has come to His chosen ones. How would they respond to His person and His message? How will you respond? The sermon outline is as follows:
