Why Do You Tolerate the Treacherous

Do you ever find your relationship to God to be complicated and perplexing? Have you ever had difficulty figuring out what God is doing and perhaps even thinking, "Lord, if that's what you're doing, you're not doing it very well"? You're not alone! This is the issue Habakkuk is confronting in this book. Habakkuk has complained to God about the moral conditions of the people in Judah. God replied that he was raising up the Babylonians to chastise them. But how can God tolerate the treacherous? Why would he use the really bad Babylonians to correct the more righteous people of Judah?
