The Controversial Billy Graham

When Billy Graham passed away, many thought that he would now receive God's rebuke for the errors he made in his ministry.

But this view is inconsistent with what God's Word teaches about the perfection of the Saints in glory!

All Bible believing Christians are familiar with Mr. Graham's great crusades at which he preached a true Gospel, calling on men to repent and trust in the blood of Jesus as their only hope of salvation and everlasting life.

There is also no doubt that Mr. Graham did not trust in his own works, but only in the Lord Jesus, and if he did so, then he is now in the presence of His Savior in Heaven.

His gospel message that he preached at his crusades never wavered. He preached that Jesus is the only way to salvation. No doubt many souls heard the gospel preaching and trusted in the Lord Jesus, and will be in heaven one day through Mr. Graham's ministry.

On the downside, Mr. Graham tended towards a decisional regeneration, placing too much emphasis upon man's will, and not enough upon the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Ghost. Graham believed that we have got to pack in the crowds, and expand our audience, and use salesman pressure tactics to draw men to the Savior.

This led to Graham's compromise with liberals and preachers of false gospels such as Roman Catholic officials. Graham wanted to cast a very wide net, but by bringing those who preach a false gospel onto his platforms, he lent credibility to their false teachings.

This was a sin on Graham's part, and should have been rebuked.

Yet Christ's blood cleanses Billy Graham of every sin, and now he appears faultless before Christ's Glory with exceeding joy!
