Rules for Servants and Their Masters

The Bible's position on slavery is complex. It is patiently conservative about external social structures and holily subversive of the kingdom of darkness in the hearts of men and in society. While our social situation is different, this passage still has much of great value to teach us. It reveals the character of the Lord Jesus Christ. I. The Rule for Servants (vv. 5-8). A.
