Our subject today is "great mystery" (v. 32) requiring great care and help from the Holy Spirit. I. Love Your Wives Even as Christ Loved the Church (vv. 25-27, last week). II. An earthly display of the heavenly union of Christ and His Church. III. Concluding Exhortations to Both Spouses (v. 33). A. Let each husband love his own wife as himself. B. Let each wife reverence and respect her own husband. IV. Practical Applications for All of Us. A. Let mutual love and mutual respect prevail in our Christian fellowship. B. No one, married or single, ever need miss out on any of this blessedness.
