Confronting Death

Jacob died and Joseph expresses great sorrow. Great respect from the Israelite elders, Pharoahs servants, and Josephs family occured over 70 days. The sons of Jacob showed faith that their future was in the land of promise. Joseph showed his love for his brothers in that there would be no retribution for it was in God's plan that he become a leader in Egypt. The book of Genesis ends with the death of Joseph. The coffin or arc is temporary for the believer as Jesus has secured our future resurrection by faith.
